Champix (4 Week Pack) containing the active ingredient Varenicline Tartrate is considered a smoking cessation aid type of medication. It should be used along with counseling and a support group to help you quit smoking. Champix works by mimicking the effects of nicotine on the brain to reduce the urge to smoke and relieve withdrawal symptoms. Quitting smoking can decrease the risk of heart and lung diseases such as cancer.

Champix should be used following the directions on the dosing package or as directed by a doctor. Champix (4 Week Pack) should be taken with a full glass of water after eating a snack or meal. Dosage will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy, contact a doctor for the correct dosage. The full course of the treatment is usually 12 weeks, contact a doctor if you have not stopped smoking at the end of 12 weeks.

Patients using Champix (4 Week Pack) may encounter unwanted side effects such as: nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headaches, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, unpleasant taste in mouth.

Contact doctor immediately should side effects persist or encounter more severe side effects such as: chest pain, slurred speech, difficulty breathing or swallowing, sudden weakness or numbness, especially on one side of the body, Insomnia or abnormal dreams, easy bruising, bleeding or blisters, vision changes

Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.

Champix (4 Week Pack) is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using Champix if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.
